After a longer break (I had to go through an unexpected move due to a foreclosure of the rental unit I lived in) I am planning to be back with new posts.
To follow your heart and intuition is to listen inside and get a sense if, what you are about to do, feels right or not. It is something most people do to some extent but you can learn how to, almost to 100%, know if what you are about to do will be good for you or not.
I still occasionally go against my inner guidance. That is when I let my brain get in the way. The brain is not connected to the inner wisdom - the heart and gut are. When you go against your inner guidance/intuition things usually do not turn out very well.
A friend of mine just shared a story about not following her inner guidance. She had been approached by a couple of young guys. They were selling magazine subscriptions and if you purchased a subscription they would get points that would go towards a trip for their school class. She decided to buy a subscription but inside of her she felt that something was not quite right. Later, she found information online that this is big business, but not honest as the young boys and girls who knock on people's doors to sell these magazines often are being used and never get paid.
My friend knew, on some level, that something did not feel right, but still she decided to go ahead with the "wrong" decision. I have done the same thing several times and usually things do not turn out the way I want. The inner guidance is always there and if you learn how to listen to it and follow it, your life becomes a magical journey. I know it works that way, as it has happened so many times over the past 20 years.
You have to trust your inner guidance and that is accurate. And you have to learn how to distinguish the feelings you get from your inner guidance from your brain "talking." I have become much better at doing this over the years and it is great when you follow your guidance and things happen magically.
